Creative Europe Youth Project ‘Off the wall’
Together with artist Pascal Buyse, Belgian and French youngsters dove into an artistic process.
They reflected on borders, walls, the Atlantic Wall, Europe and displacement. The young people visited the war sites Atlantikwall Raversyde and Vloethemveld (Zedelgem), learned more about the Second World War and made the bridge with current events. All this resulted in a show moment on the site of Atlantikwall Raversyde.
"Off the Wall" is in collaboration with the Flemish Land Agency (VLM), KAAP, the European Heritage Atlantikwall Foundation (NL) and La Fabrique de Patrimoines en Normandie (FR). The initiative is part of the European Creative Europe project "Atlantikwall Europe" which aims to link museums, memorial sites and other Atlantikwall sites.
